what does fallen mean?
im taking things slow with my new boyfriend as my last one rushed things and all went wrong. i dont want this to happen with my new one and he knows it. he keeps saying ‘i’ve really fallen for you’ or ‘i’ve never fallen so much for anyone’. is this his way of saying he loves me without making it sound like we’re rushing, or does it mean something else, if so what? i don’t really want to ask him because i don’t want to hear those three words come from his mouth just yet. but would like to know what he means… hope that makes sense, thanks for any help

Hes saying he never felt this way about anyone, but you. Thats so sweet.

Who Do You Think Is Liverpool's Greatest Captain?
I watched a program the other day, and recalled the many inspirational players and captains Liverpool had throughout the ages.
So before you mention Steven Gerrard, consider these players first, many of whom who captained Liverpool during their most succeed period.

1. Ron Yeats (1st Captain to lift the FA Cup, 1st Captain under Shankly to lift the title)

2. Billy Liddell (Shankly’s 1st Captain. His goals propelled Liverpool to promotion and eventual success later on)

3) Tommy Smith ( Played 600+ games for them and scored in their 1st European Cup Final victory - his last match)

4) Emelyn Hughes (Shankly’s last and Paiseley’s 1st Captain. Lifted their first 2 European Cups)

5) Phil Thompson (Captain during late 70s and early 80s)

6) Graeme Souness (Captain of the Treble winning side of 1984)

7) Alan Hansen (1st Captain to lift the Double and last to win the title)

8) Mark Wright (Regular England International, took over from Hansen)

9) Ian Rush (Captain during his final spell at the club 1993-1996)

10) Steven Gerrard (took over from Jamie Redknapp in 2003)

My choice would be Hansen, but watching Yeats the other day, the man was amazing, a giant in every sense of the word.

Anyway here’s a clip of the 1984 European Cup Final, which would surely bring a smile to any Reds fan;

IMDB rating: 2.40

Plot: Three families living in a rural Vermont community struggle with loss while allowing the delicate hands of time to gradually ease their sorrows in director Dorothy Lyman’s poetic drama. Sgt. Claire Rodman (Ed Blunt) has just returned home from the Iraq War suffering a permanent hand injury, and as he slips into a helpless state of self-pity, his sister dutifully cares for their dying mother. In time, Sgt. Rodman’s despondence drives a bitter wedge between the two siblings. Meanwhile, housekeeper Kathy McClellan struggles to maintain her relationship to her two grown children, Carissa and Glen. But while Glen’s paranoid rants about the war seem like nonsense to many, the truth is they contain an explosive secret. Over on a neighboring farm, Nan (Dorothy Lyman) and her partner Sandra (Dey Young) find their regular routine interrupted by the sudden appearance of Sandra’s daughter Enid, who isn’t her usual self following a recent encounter with “the light.” As the snow continues to fall, each family will confront their issues while discovering that nature really can ease sorrow.

Dinosaur (2000)

IMDB rating: 6.20

Plot: Long before humans appeared on the planet, dinosaurs ruled the earth. On a little off-coast island, a clan of lemurs finds a dinosaur egg, hatching. Since there are no parents, the lemurs take care of the newborn, Aladar. Years later, a medium meteor goes down close to the island and the shockwave forces its inhabitants to flee to the continent. There, Aladar and his family meet other dinosaurs for the first time as well as real dangers. The destruction caused by the meteor here has also forced a herd of different herbivores to move to a remote valley that can provide food and protection against the carnivorous predators following after. Since Aladar grew up with a different understanding of the ways of the world, his way of helping others first isn’t accepted within the herd, but soon it is proven that reason may be better than panic.

How long could a person survive on an oxygen rich (32%) planet, and how big would they eventually become.?

You would do just fine in an oxygen rich atmosphere. Some people breath 100% oxygen for long periods of time. We personally don’t need nor process the nitrogen in our air. It is theorized that early creatures became big because of plentiful oxygen. That may also apply to dinosaurs too.

I'm looking for a place in Colorado I went 20 yrs ago?
Its close to a decent size town. I met a group of Motorcycle riders and followed them on a midnight ride. We went around a closed park entrance( State park maybe?) and up a mountain. Switchbacks all the way up and at least one tunnel.Long way up and a great view. There were small stone guard rails on some of the corners. Im planing a summer ride and would like to revisit, but I cant remember where it was. Sound familiar?
I wanna say that it was called something like The Colorado monument park? Or maybe im nuts.

Too much so; that could be nearly anyplace in Colorado.

Is it wrong to sleep with a hooker?
Just taking a poll. Is it wrong to hire a hands-on escort? Morally, I guess the answer is yes. However, one could argue that anyone who has a girlfriend is essentially paying for sex anyway (all those expensive dinners and movie tickets). Also consider Hollywood’s perspective with movies like "Pretty Woman" and "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." Looks harmless enough. Thoughts?

Impossible. Everyone knows hookers never sleep. I never sleep either, maybe I am sleep-hooking. That would explain why I am so tired in the morning.

Young Guns II (1990)

IMDB rating: 5.80

Plot: The movie begins with the aging Brushy Bill Roberts narrating his story to a young historian. His claim? He claims that he is the famous outlaw William H. Bonney, alias Billy the Kid, who was supposedly shot and killed by Patrick Floyd Garrett in 1881. The old man gives a very convincing story on how he and Garrett, along with Arkansas Dave Rudabaugh, Chavez y Chavez, Doc Skurlock, and a few others led the outlaw life and avoided the law, as they were wanted men. Garrett, a friend of Billy’s, was paid by John Chisum, a cattle king, to eliminate Billy the Kid. So, Garrett and Ashmun Upson set out on a journey to find Billy the Kid.

Why does the media not report the news?
This is a good Memorial Day story. I wish success stories like this
would be recognized by the media.

Outnumbered 8-1: ‘A good day for the Corps’
Afghanistan By Peter Bronson:

"Our vehicles came under a barrage of enemy RPGs and machine gun fire. One of our humvees was disabled from RPGfire, and the Marines inside dismounted and laid down suppression fire so they could evacuate a Marine who was knocked unconscious from the blast."
That’s not from an episode of The Unit or 24. It’s not from an anti-war movie. It’s not from any newspaper or TV news reports I could find. The quote comes from a "designated marksman who requested to remain unidentified." He was reporting what happened recently in the city of Shewan , Afghanistan .
The story was told in a Marine Corps News report by Cpl. James M. Mercure. "The day started out with a 10-km patrol with elements mounted and dismounted, so by the time we got to Shewan, we were pretty beat," the marksman said.
Mercure reported, "Shewan had been a thorn in the side of TF 2nd Bn, 7th Marine Regt, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground TF Afghanistan,
throughout the Marines’ deployment here in support of OEF, because it controls an important supply route into the Bala Baluk district. Opening the route was key to continuing combat ops in the area."
"The vicious attack that left the humvee destroyed and several of the Marines pinned down in the kill zone sparked an intense 8-hour battle as the platoon desperately fought to recover their comrades. After recovering the Marines trapped in the kill zone, another platoon Sgt personally led numerous attacks on enemy fortified positions, while the plt fought house to house and trench to trench in order to clear through the enemy ambush site."
"The biggest thing to take from that day is what Marines can accompli sh when they’re
given the opportunity to fight", the sniper said. "A small group of Marines met a numerically superior force and embarrassed them in their own backyard. The insurgents told the townspeople that they were stronger than the Americans, and that day we showed them they were wrong." "During the battle, the designated marksman single handedly thwarted a
co.-sized enemy RPG and machinegun ambush by reportedly killing 20 enemy fighters with his devastatingly accurate precision fire. He selflessly exposed himself time and again to intense enemy fire during a critical point in the 8-hour battle for Shewan, in order to kill any enemy combatants who attempted to engage or maneuver on the Marines in the kill zone. What made his actions even more impressive was the fact that he didn’t miss any shots, despite the enemies’ rounds impacting within a foot of his fighting position." ‘"I was in my own little world,"’ the young corporal said. ‘"I wasn’t even aware of a lot of the rounds impacting near my position, because I was concentrating so hard on making sure my rounds were on target."’ "After calling for close-air support, the small group of Marines pushed forward and broke the enemies’ spirit as many of them dropped their weapons and fled the battlefield. At the end of the battle, the Marines had reduced an enemy stronghold, killed more than 50 insurgents and wounded several more.
"I didn’t realize how many=2 0bad guys there were until we had broken through the enemies’ lines and forced them to retreat. It was roughly 250 insurgents against 30 of us,"’ the corporal said. "It was a good day for the Marine Corps. We killed a lot of bad guys, and none of our guys were seriously injured."

Such an amazing story of heroism and victory would have been on Page One in every paper in the country during World War II. Just 30 Marines giving 8 hours of hell to 250 insurgents, is the kind of story that would make a good movie - if that kind of movie still could be made. But these days, it did not even make Page 10. I couldn’t find a story about it anywhere. The only mentions were on conservative blogs and military Web sites. The soldiers who are fighting for their lives and our country might as well be in another dimension. News from the battlefronts in Iraq and Afghanistan is apparently not important. It reminds the jaded anti-war crowd that they were wrong. We’re winning. It reminds a self-centered nation that some Americans are making sacrifices much bigger than a loss in their 401(k)s. So we don’t hear about it. But we need to hear news like that, because a good day for the Marine Corps is a good day for freedom. And that’s a good day for America .

The media tells us what they want us to hear, Not the whole story, much like Paul Harvey use to do.

Been There~Done That! | May 31, 2009

As far as I can tell, the US media is very left-wing, doesn’t support our troops and only print/ air that which is very demeaning. They don’t want the American public to know how heroic and well trained our troops are, and that it is not a losing war. With a president who has a Muslim background, the media will not publicise anything that will "offend" the Muslims. I say Tough Beans, stop being politically correct, stop trying to placate the enemy and tell it like it is, not the way they want it to be. I have heard many, many similar stories like the one you cited, also the good things our troops have been and are doing for the local citizens. You will never hear about those, either. There are no reporters anymore, as they all have to interject their opinions and are doing editorial comments. I agree that we have to hear more about the postive and not the negative. I have been to Afghanistan and Iraq, my son pulled a 1-yr tour of duty in Iraq and we both have seen and heard many good "news".

Poetry…to match my fairytale…any help?
So i was in english class today and my teacher recited the raven…i love literature…i’m actually writing down my own story…purely fun…i email to my friends to keep them entertained…but i have a villain character that is connected to ravens…so i thought it would be rather cool if he recited part of the poem in the story…then i thought…since my story is fairly fairytale-ish…and poetry goes with fairytales so well…if anybody could help me find some more dark fairytale-ish poems like, Poe’s The Raven….
My story is about a girl who can summon fire, if that helps ne…and she ends up in this world…i kind of want my world pictured like a gothic fairy tale, so there is like big baddies, and changelings and fairies…you know the deal…i’m fairly sure something from shakespeare could perhaps help…
But any good poems…or just poets…please do share…
Please and thank you ;]

Gothic fairytale…oooh…i want to read it can u email it to me once youre done…please?

Grimm Brothers Fairytales are quite gothic well at least some of them are. But your story does not sound fairytaleish

What characteristics do pregnant women have?
I’m playing a pregnant woman in a play (Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding). Having never been pregnant myself, what sort of mannerisms and physical characteristics should I have to make my character as believable as possible?
The character is in her 3rd trimester, 7 or 8 months pregnant. Thanks everyone for your answers, they all help a lot!

ooo, sounds fun! are you supposed to be late pregnant? usually they exaggerate things in plays so i’ll give you tips on how i am now in my 3rd trimester. i hope i can help, heres what i can think of:

1. heavy sighing when sitting down or getting up (because theres more pressure on your lungs)
2. place hand on belly often (not even totaly sure why but we all seem to do it,lol)
3. strained look on face with hand placed on belly and bent slightly foward (this can signify contractions or just ligament pain)
4. let fingers lightly stroke belly in circular motion at random points (its something i do often just to feel conected to my little guy,i do it when bored or talking,it works anywhere really)
5. LOOK TIRED! lol, this one you can do at any point since pregnancy puts a huge strain on the body and a pregnant woman is almost constantly exausted!

good luck! enjoy getting in touch with your inner pregnant woman, lol ^-^

EDIT: almost forgot, walk like theres an extra leg of space in the middle. and a little slower too, maybe add a sigh every once in a while cause walking can be a workout for us,lol ^-^

Ivy | Oct 15, 2009

I’ve never heard of that play so I don’t know how far along the character is in it.

If it’s far far along, then there is the belly (obviously) and I don’t know about all pregnant women, but myself, and every pregnant lady I’ve known has ended up waddling in late pregnancy. And supporting the lower back with their hands.
mommyoftwo. | Oct 15, 2009

Imagine a water balloon, when you move the fluid moves and puts pressure on the balloon. That’s pretty much how it works for the belly, you have to move it at a certain pace, rhythm, and direction to not stretch the balloon, it hurts. The hips start to adjust later int he pregnancy, walking needs to be affected by this, steps must be deliberate. Consciously adjusting ones posture, never bend to pick up anything. It’s ok if the belly bumps into something, it happens all the time.
